Hawaii 1 on 1 was founded by Katia Oliveira, a dedicated travel enthusiast who discovered her heart’s true home when she moved from São Paulo, Brazil, to Oahu, Hawaii over 30 years ago. Captivated by the island’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture, Katia made it her mission to create unforgettable experiences for those who visit. She raised her family on Oahu, embracing the aloha spirit and becoming deeply woven into the community she loves. Her journey included opening a surf shop and camp, where she shared her passion for Hawaii’s oceans with visitors and locals alike. She later launched a short-term rental business, offering travelers a home away from home. Through each venture, Katia poured her love for the island into personalized, exceptional service, always striving to showcase Hawaii’s unique beauty and warmth.
